We are a Japanese and Canadian owned company that has been providing the Ex-Pat community here in Osaka Japan with quality housing since 2001. We have also been supplying the foreign community with fully furnished affordable apartments in the Nagoya city area since 2007.

We believe that we are somewhat unique in the fact that we offer 2 distinct rental systems that in effect offer something that will accommodate everyone’s rental needs. We are confident that we truly understand the needs of foreign residents living and working in Japan and we hope that you allow us the opportunity to assist you in your housing search.

Below is a description of the 2 unique systems that we offer that we feel confident will ultimately help in fulfilling all your real estate needs:
 
SYSTEM # 1 - Fully-Furnished Private, Shared And Couples’ Apartments
 


This Fully-Furnished or ‘Fully-Equipped’ system has many advantages. These select properties are ones that Apollo Properties manage directly so they can be moved into without any approval process by property owners. For people newly arriving to Japan these places offer an easy transition into a new life in Japan. They can be reserved from overseas, and held open at no cost. When you arrive in Japan, we will pick you up by van, take you to your new accommodation where you will find everything you need right down to a roll of toilet paper. The gas, electricity and water services will also be hooked-up when you arrive. This system has a relatively short  3-month minimum stay period and also has what we call an ’in-house transfer’ system which allows people to move freely from one furnished property to another one. So, if for example someone arrives who has decided to move into a 1 room apartment in one area then after they begin their new job and find that the location may not be the best for commuting to work for example, they can then move to a vacant apartment in another area within this minimum stay period without cost or penalty. To rent a fully furnished apartment, a refundable security deposit equivalent to one months’ rent is required, and a copy of your passport as proof of identity and of being in the country legally.

We recommend this system to new comers to Japan as it allows people the chance to get a ‘feel’ for the city first and then decide where they would ultimately like to live long term. This eliminates the need for the outlay of large sums of money and the commitment of large furniture, air-conditioner and other large household appliance purchases when you first arrive.

SYSTEM # 2 - Non-Furnished No Key-Money Private Apartments
 


‘Non-Furnished’ apartments are basically the type of apartments offered at every real estate agency throughout Japan. As we are also a licensed real estate agency we too have access to the same places as every other agency here in Osaka. This means the advantage to this system is that you will have a much larger choice of accommodation to choose from, so finding the place that best meets all of your housing needs will be much greater.

As the real estate market in Osaka has been changing recently due to the current economic climate and the fact that the number of vacant rooms is increasing; Japanese building owners are slowly beginning to lower  demands on new tenants such as the outlay of large sums of ‘Key Money’ as well as the need of a ‘Personal  Guarantor”. The need of a personal guarantor is widely being replaced with the usage of an ‘Emergency Contact Person’ accompanied with the services of a ‘Rental Guarantor Company’, The fee for most rental guarantor companies range from 50% to 70% of the monthly rental amount of the apartment you wish to rent.

So now without the once exorbitant costs related to renting an apartment in the Japanese system and the fact that this current system has started to slowly open up to more foreign residents, Apollo Properties will help you find the place that best suits all your housing needs and most importantly one that best reflects your budget.

LDK = Living room, Dining room, Kitchen
 
1R or 1K apartment consisting of 1 room with a kitchenette, and unit bath (self-enclosed bath/shower/toilet).

1DK apartment consisting of a separate bedroom, separate combined dining room / kitchen and separate bathroom.
 
1LDK apartment consisting of a separate bedroom, separate living room, separate combined dining room / kitchen and separate bathroom.

2DK apartment consisting of 2 separate bedrooms, separate combined dining room / kitchen and separate bathroom.
 
2LDK apartment consisting of 2 separate bedrooms, separate living room, separate combined dining room / kitchen and separate bathroom. (2-3 PERSON MAX.)

3DK apartment consisting of 3 separate bedrooms, separate combined dining room / kitchen and separate bathroom. (3-4 PERSON MAX.)
 
3LDK apartment consisting of 3 separate bedrooms, separate combined dining room / kitchen, separate living room and separate bathroom. (3-4 PERSON MAX.)
Foreign Guest House.
Commonly referred to as a “Gaijin Mansion”. These houses vary in size and can be a normal 2 or 3 story size house consisting of 3 bedrooms to as many as 9 bedrooms with a separate living room, separate combined dining room / kitchen and separate bathroom.
